Extremely narrow, prize-winning design and can be shortened smoothly. The Advantix Vario shower drain impresses due to a previously unachieved flexibility, even two years after its market introduction. Three new connecting elements now complement the range and open up even more design leeway. This allows shower drains of up to 2.80 metres to be realised with the same simplicity as solutions around corners or in a U-shape - without any laborious special productions. New colour designs for the metal grates and cover caps make it possible to integrate them harmoniously into the floorings.
The Viega Advantix Vario shower drain is available as standard in a length of 120 centimetres. If required, it can be shortened to a length of 30 centimetres. A connector, a corner connector and an end cap make countless new designs possible. All components have a leg length of 20 centimetres and can be combined with the shower drain by simply inserting and screwing.
From long to short, around the corner and in a U-shape
For example, the end cap extends the well-known Advantix Vario shower drain to 1.40 metres when used on one side. When fitted to both sides, it is extended to 1.60 metres. On the other hand, the connector is used if very long shower drains are needed. A length of 2.40 metres can be created when combined with two Vario shower drains. With the additional fitting of two end caps, it is actually possible to create a length of 2.80 metres. The drainage capacity per second is then doubled from an impressive 0.8 litres to 1.6 litres. This is because every Advantix Vario has its own self-cleaning drain.
Very short drains from 80 centimetres with an extremely high drain capacity can also be created using this connector. A solution which is suitable for bathers with waterfall and rain showerheads. The high drainage capacity is achieved by using two Vario shower drains, which are each shortened to 30 centimetres.
For corner shower drains or as a U-shape, Viega has expanded the range to include a right-angled connector. So that the required drainage capacity is not affected, the shared connecting line should be sufficiently large when using two or three Vario shower drains (DN 70).
Metal grates and cover caps in new colours
So that the Advantix Vario can be integrated into the flooring in the best possible design, Viega is expanding the colour range for metal grates and cover caps. As well as the familiar designs in stainless steel, both matt and gloss, black and white are now also available. Tile connecting profiles in the same colours can be obtained from Schlüter.
All designs still have the same easy and quick assembly, the safe sealant concept and the variable installation height of the Advantix Vario range.
